Incorporated on April 7, 1870, The Pennsylvania Company was a major holding company, owning and operating most of the Pennsylvania Railroad rail lines west of Pittsburgh and Erie, Pennsylvania, but also included the Pittsburgh, Fort Wayne and Chicago Railway, which was the PRR's main route to Chicago. The Pennsylvania Company also owned.. but did not operate .. the Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Chicago and St. Louis Railroad  which was another line to Chicago.

This button has a Waterbury backmark that dates to 1890-1900, and measures 23mm.
